The poem consists of four-line sung verses separated by some spoken words. The verses are sung to the tune of the French-Canadian children’s song “Alouette” (1879), which is melodically similar to “Down by the Station” (1948). |
Little Bunny Foo Foo Lyrics
Little Bunny Foo Foo
Hopping through the forest,
Scooping up the field mice
And bopping them on the head.
And down, down, down came the Good Fairy, and said:
“Little Bunny Foo Foo
I don’t want to see you
Scooping up the field mice
And bopping them on the head.
I’m going to give you three chances,
And if you don’t behave,
And then, I’m going to turn you into a…GOOOOOON!”
